1.   Given the available media that we now have in the world, what are its roles and functions in a democratic society?

       Media has many roles and functions in a democratic society. One of these are it makes it people to be easily aware with the political and economic activities happening around the world. Media also exposes the corruption and loopholes our government is doing. It also helps the people to be aware of what is happening in the society since they always update the people whenever there are new trends, etc. Media also play a big part in shaping our nation. Since they have the power to show and inform us, they influence us in a way that they open our eyes with what is right and what is wrong and I think that that is the biggest thing the media can do that others don’t.

2.    In what way does media affect your life (personal, professional, academic, social, others)?        
     
     Media affects me in almost every aspect of my life. Personally, media affects me in a way that it allows me to discover and know about myself. There are many articles and other information in the media that allows me to find my real self. Academically, media play a big role in my study life since almost all of my answers and ideas in making my projects, home works, and other school works came from the media. Next is my social life. Media helps me a lot to become a better person since with media, I can easily talk, chat, communicate and socialize with different people. With social media also, I get to know more people which is something good and positive. If I became a professional in the future, I know that media will also play a big role since in different works, the use of media is really essential because it is very convenient for people to work. For example, sending a mail from one company to another company. Media also helps my profession since in the future I would like to be an engineer or doctor which really needs to be updated since they have the role to make different things that will improve our technology also and many other related stuffs.
